Fueled by time, coffee, YouTube tutorials, and a pinch of existential dread, the Shape of Shred reinvented his playing. And then he wrote a scorching debut record sizzling with smoldering licks and soaring melodies inspired by his favorite guitar players, like Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani, Plini, and Marty Friedman.
